For many services it is very important to make sure the subscriber is the actual owner of the email. This will add one extra layer of security to the sign-up process. In addition, this will prevent any mistake by the client during the checkout by entering the wrong email address.
We recommend before running any final process such as payments, creating products, or hooks WHMCS sends a verification email that contains a link to continue to the checkout. WHMCS should be able to check whether this email exists on the database to skip this step.
We recommend the feature to be optional and can be activated in the General settings.

Email Verification on account registration
While creating a new client account there is no verification email sent. This opens the door for a lot of phishing and fraud accounts with bogus emails. How about sending an activation / verification email while creating the account and not adding them to the db until they click the verification link.
Email Verification On Sign Up
I'm getting very tired of WHMCS bots registering for SQL injections and hacking attemps. All of them use fake email accounts, why can't WHMCS add email verification? Allow someone to order, register, etc, but leave the account on pending until they verify their email account with a link send. Its rather pretty amazing, WHMCS allows people to register with fake email accounts.
