I would really like to see tooltips for configurable options. This would be extremely helpful to customers that may need various options explained. If there was a tooltip box on the configurable options page we could simply add the information there. For me personally, I see this as a huge advantage on checkout when customers may need more information to help them choose various configurations.

The description field could then either be displayed in-line or as a tooltip. Or perhaps the description is implemented and changing it to a tooltip is up to theme modifications.
